Federal Pacific electrical (FPE) panels were installed in homes from the 1950s to the 1980s. Millions of panels were installed in homes across the country. Often times, home builders had favorite equipment manufacturers and installed the same equipment in most homes they built. Thus, if you live in an area with several FPE panels the likelihood is high that your home has an FPE also. FPE panels have numerous safety hazards. More FPE info here
